I will be away from Deviant Art for maybe 3-4 weeks, work and life demand my presence elsewhere. But I thought I would do a small journal before i left.

I am always fascinated to know the thoughts of an artist about his own work. A few words will add a little punch to the impact of your presentation, they help convey your persona, perception and the artists point of view. DA gives us all this capability in the Captions box, to extend the visuals and give and allow a viewer to connect with the artist at a deeper level. Here are a few samples of words and images of the artists, that for me opened a new dimension to my appreciation of the their work.

"Can i take a picture of you?"
Why?

"Because you have a beautiful smile"

-Smiles more-

I can touch the summer.

I can touch the dusk.

 ...But I can’t touch you.

I can touch the summer I can touch the dusk by Peterix

The moonlight really changes the mood of any night, and in particular on very cold almost clear nights like this.

I really felt drawn in by the mountains in the distance, and that being my main focus

I used the road which had a clear path to them then added a very wide vignette to keep the brightness mainly at center.

Take me to the light by iNeedChemicalX

I can´t remember thinking anything but being in awe of the moment,

after 6 hours of waiting (which was worth every minute of it)

the light of day started to slowly creep in while the aurora danced across the sky.

The Electric Prunes - I Had Too Much To Dream (Last Night)

________________________________________________

Last night your shadow fell upon my lonely room

I touched your golden hair and tasted your perfume

Your eyes were filled with love the way they used to be

Your gentle hand reached out to comfort me

Oh no, then came the dawn and you were gone

And you were gone, gone, gone

For The Birds by Trippy4U

It is easy to get lost in the night sky, everything else seems to just go away,

even if it is just for a moment.

A faint aurora dances behind whispy clouds

as the milky way arches across the sky on a very cold night.

The thoughts of mine for the Child Of Pulau Ketam?
Well I really love children to begin with, so their smile always bring to joy. Since the Island of Ketam (Pulau Ketam means Island of Crabs; Located in Malaysia) is not connected to the city, it is an interesting place. They don't use cars or such, they use bicycles and motors, their walkways are on pathways, which was built and levitated up from the sea because the island gets flood easily, at night the waves covers the island, It is a beautiful sight.

I feel that even though their world and the city world are at a strong contrast, they have simple life; fishing, etc, they still have bigger smile than some most of us. They are happy, the definition of happiness varies, happiness is a choice, not a miracle (:
