 hmmm .. Its hard to explain ..its more of just a feeling than analysis.
I will choose between black and white and colour, depending upon what gives greater visual impact. Normally when I shoot I have an idea in my head already if I will process them black and white or colour. The choice is generally based on if the colours add to the composition and the whole image or if they are murky or distracting the eyes ... Of course there are some inbetween and the choice is difficult so I process a BW and a colour image. If there is no clear visual distinction between the images I will choose colour over BW. The choice of colour and B&W is based on the individual image rather than the subject matter. |
