Long March and Protest Rally of Maulana Tahir Ul Qadri

The media says this is the start of the Pakistani Spring.

I doubt it .. I saw many children like him ...in the rally.

paid to participate, free food for the duration, tired cold lack luster ..
what does he know of economic reforms, of International Diplomacy, of management and how to tackle the spiraling decline.

The poor boy should be home in bed, warm happy and fed and His Elders standing up for their rights

Hopefully there was some gained knowledge from him being there. Being at political gatherings in my youth certainly piqued my interest in politics... although that interest has blossomed into cold, hard, cynicism in my adult mind.

Sadly, The only knowledge, I hope he learnt is the reality of the Cleric who was leading this "Long March" .. AT the end of the day, he was exposed as pretty much a sham and for his purposes has now almost "aligned" with those that he rallied against.

This cleric has 380 Madrassas (Seminaries) though out pakistan and although they are great institutes for education, not only religious but science and arts and support the poor. Which in itself is a great achievement.

However he leveraged these schools, and most of the participants were, students of these schools, and their families.

Since they students are already in hostels and the parents are grateful to the cleric for this they also participated.

It is so sad, that people of influence and power so easily manipulate the good hearts of those who look up to them.

It is even sadder when folks blindly follow and support these types when they obviously show their true selfish nature. :(

I am very sympathetic to the plight of your people, and can relate as we too, are heading down a similar path despite appearances on the surface.

However naive it may be for me, I pray nonetheless for peace, stability, and prosperity to find it's way to all the nations of this world.

As always, I thank you for sharing your insight, as well as your excellent photography which gives a deeper dimension to your thoughts.
